In our UNIQUE big menu, everyone will find something they can fall in LOVE with. From juicy chicken Karaage, comforting Ramen to mouth-watering sushi rolls. Koku Shi has started as a small FAMILY business and through our journey we have learnt that’s our STRENGTH. That’s why we want the best experience for you and your loved ones in our restaurants. Being Fife’s First Japanese Restaurant makes us WORK harder every day to show that our pioneering efforts are well received and an AWARD for being Scotland’s the Best Japanese Restaurant of the year 2018 and the Best Asian Restaurant 2019 only confirms that, as well as being a guest on A TV show where we made The First in the world Sushi with Haggis.
What we do differently: Big menu with something for everyone. Everything freshly made on order. Separate vegan menu called VEGA SHI. Gluten free options. Working with local suppliers. Only best ingredients ( like at home). We are environmentally friendly by using biodegradable packaging for our takeaway food and keeping our food waste under 5%.

What you will need
As a Koku Shi’s Franchisee, you will need to make a significant up-front financial investment, which means having at least £50,000 - £100,000 in unencumbered funds. You will also need to demonstrate you can lead from the front and work within our framework to give yourself the greatest chance of success.
What you will get
We are a fast-growing brand, and we offer a professional support and training to our Franchisees. Before you start, you will go through a comprehensive restaurant training programme for you and your employees. After the training you will have all the knowledge, skills and tools to run Koku Shi restaurant.

Fabulous food, wonderful staff and great atmosphere. The menu also has hot dishes. I had Curried Katsu with chicken superb...!!! We will definitely return.
3rd time here and it never fails to impress. Food is fantastic, service is very friendly, and the menu is constantly growing and improving. If you've never tried Japanese food before, get the 'raw fish' idea out of your head. There's LOTS more to it than that and there's so much to try and explore. There's lots of vegetarian options as well and the staff are all willing to help you choose if you need help
For a meat eater to recommend the food on their vegan menu it must be good - and I’m a carnivore and the food is GOOD!!!!! Very tasty food from Vega-Shi, pleasant staff and very tasty food - will be returning to sample their meat menu next.
